Charles Peabody is a Founding Partner of Portales Partners and serves as the Director of Research as well as Senior Banking Analyst. He began analyzing US banks in 1981 and was II ranked when employed by numerous prestigious Wall Street bulge bracket firms. Charlie started Portales Partners in 1999 as a refugee from investment banking conflicting influence with the integrity of equity research recommendations. His affiliations have included Kidder Peabody (no relation), Standard & Poor's, Merrill Lynch, Drexel Burnham, and UBS. Charlie has a BA from Lake Forest College. At one point, Charlie had Series 7, 63, 24, 86 and 87 registrations. 

Brent Erensel is a Partner and serves as the Head of Sales at Portales Partners. With a distinguished career as a bank analyst, Brent has led bank research teams at Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley), Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette, UBS, and Deutsche Bank. His expertise in analyzing U.S. and Latin American banks spans over four decades, beginning in 1981 and culminating his pivotal role at Portales since 2001. Brent has an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and was awarded the CFA charter in 1985. He has a BA from Lawrence University. Brent is a CFA Charterholder and at one point had Series 7, 16, 63, 86 and 87 registrations. Brent has investment projects in earth friendly and healthy concepts including Açaí of America and Ellicottville Greens (vertical farming).
